Operational Plan Innovation
The AFICIONADO-OLIVE app of the company AgroApps PC produces warnings of possible attacks (insects: dakos, kernel borer, cotton blight, pests / diseases: cycloconium, gliospora), for the timely and safe planning of all cultivation interventions in the field, both before and during during the growing season, aiming to minimize losses and maintain post-harvest quality. The application will be evaluated in pilot fields in Central Macedonia, which is characterized by insufficient assimilation of modern technological solutions (RIS3, 2015).
After the implementation of the project, the AFICIONADO-OLIVE app will be a decision-making system, adapted to the particular conditions of olive groves, without the need to invest in field equipment (sensors, insect traps). It is expected that the introduction of the application in olive cultivation will contribute to the improvement of the competitiveness and productivity of the olive fruit in the given area.
